Bennett is 7 months old!

My goodness! Where does the time go? Bennett turned 7 months old yesterday and I can hardly believe it. We started our move yesterday as well and he's been such a little trooper. He's about out grown the play gym as you can see from the pictures. It just doesn't roll with him which can cause a problem or two. He's so much fun these days and I'm loving every minute of getting to stay home with him.

Still Packing!

Well, we're still packing the last little bit, but I'm so blessed to have such a great helper. I gazed up yesterday and Bennett looked so content leaned up against a few boxes watching me go to town boxing up his toys. Doesn't this grin melt your heart? I really felt like he was cheering me on.

We're Moving!

We're moving homes at the end of the month. It's not ideal timing, but I think it's going to work out for the best. We're moving from East Cobb to West Cobb to an adorable home. I'm really excited about the new house, but it's the packing and getting into the home that's no fun. We're actually all packed now and just awaiting moving day....coming soon! Bennett has been such a great little helper! He can't help with the packing obviously, but he's great about keeping himself entertained in the exer-saucer, the johnny jumper and even rolling into a few boxes here and there. This was a picture from this morning as I was packing up the last of our things.

Weekend at Rock Island

My sister inlaw, Katie, invited us up for the weekend to her friend's house at Rock Island. It's a gorgeous home right on the water. It was a great weekend of getting to spend time with good friends. The Blairs and Rosses came up Saturday and brought their boys Gray and Hudson, so it was a blast watching all the boys play together. We had all stages there. Cousin Trey can run and play, Gray is right behind him followed by our crawling (almost walking) Hudson....followed by our rolling Bennett. We enjoyed delicious food, playing in the river and telling funny stories on one another. Can't wait for our next weekend getaway with the Woodcocks, Blairs and Rosses!

Bathtime at the Tidwell's

We love bathtime. I really believe Bennett would stay in his little tub all day if I would let him. He kicks and splashes until there's no water left in the tub. I fill it back up and he continues to splash sometimes followed by a "Bennett-made" rainbow if you know what I mean. Boys are notorious for doing that so I've been told. I can't help but sneak in a few pictures of him with his hair all wet. That giggle that he does when kicks so hard the water gets him on his nose is the best. Little miracles!

Our Rolling Bennett

Since Bennett has learned how to roll, it's a whole new world for him. He'll start at one side of the room and just keep rolling until he gets stopped by something....the couch, the wall...you name it, he'll roll into it. Yesterday I was packing up boxes (as we're moving homes again) and went in to peek on him. No Bennett to be found. The little guy had rolled under the coffee table that I had pushed up against the wall to give him more room to roam. He somehow turned directions and proceeded to roll under the side tables until he was stuck in the corner. No crying, but a few whimpers led me to him. :) After watching for a few minutes more, I snapped these pictures of him in action.

Bennett and Fletcher Celebrate the 4th!

Happy 4th of July!

Last 4th of July, my mom was visiting me in San Diego. We pulled up chairs along with my dear friend, Esther, and watched the fireworks overlooking the La Costa Golf Course while Fletcher was in Iraq. What a difference a year makes! This year Bennett, Fletcher and I went to the Marietta Square for the morning parade. It was wonderful! We watched all the floats drive by and enjoyed all the festivities. We returned later that afternoon with our lawn chairs, blanket and snacks to listen to the band and watch the fireworks. Bennett is just like his daddy....he loves fireworks. We had been invited over to a friend's house for a cookout, but Fletcher just couldn't bear celebrating the 4th without watching a firework show. He was right. We had a great time celebrating our country's independence.

Grammy & Papa Come to Visit

Bennett is blessed with wonderful grandparents. My dad and stepmom came into town to visit. It was a great time. We played outside in Bennett's pool, did a little shopping, Dad got in the simulator with Fletcher at work, and Bennett got to upgrade to the big boy car seat. He had outgrown his infant carrier....it was getting a little sad how his feet dangled off. We've got a healthy boy on our hands. Possible linebacker! Grammy and Papa were heading up to Nashville after their visit here in Atlanta, so they transported Bennett up to his CeCe and Pops for the week. Fletcher had a work conference in Pensacola, Florida, so we made it a vacation for the two of us. I missed the little guy like crazy, but it was nice to have a few days to enjoy the beach and my husband.
