Happy Birthday Trey!

On our way out of town yesterday, we got to drop in on Cousin Trey's birthday party. It was at a bounce house and the kids were in heaven. Bennett wasn't feeling that great, so he slept the first half, but once he woke up, he was raring to go. The kids bounced all over the place before sitting down for pizza and cake. What a great party!

We headed up to Nashville on Christmas afternoon to spend a few days with the Tidwells and Woodcocks. We opened presents, ate delicious food, and enjoyed lots of laughs. Bennett and Trey loved their new Hess trucks from CeCe and Pops and had a blast riding on Trey's new John Deere Tractor. We got to go to Trey's 3rd birthday party before heading home on Monday.
Thanks for a wonderful visit!

Christmas Morning

Santa came to our house this Christmas and Bennett must have been good. He was amazed at how generous Santa was to him this year. Fletcher and I loved watching him play with his new fire engine while wearing his protective helmet. Such a little character!

Happy Bday AnnaKate

On Christmas Eve, Bennett attended a friend's birthday party at the Mellow Mushroom. The kids made pizzas and enjoyed cupcakes. Bennett loves hats.....let me just start with that. His hat of choice that day was his bucket. My mom always told me "you pick your battles." Wearing a bucket on your head isn't a battle I'm picking, so needless to say, Bennett wore it on his head the entire party. I must say, he wore it with such confidence. The kids had a great time at the party. Thank you, AnnaKate, for inviting us!

Happy Birthday Bennett!

Bennett officially turned two today! We celebrated all day. I celebrate him everyday, but today we did whatever he wanted. He ate cookies (his favorite), he played, we had lunch at Chick-filet, and he napped only when he wanted to. This little boy has my heart and I have to say these last two years have been the best ever. If I had one request, it would be to slow down time. Where does it go? I savor every slobbery kiss and every bedtime story I get the privilege to read him. Happy Birthday, Baby!

Children's Museum

Fletcher was off work today, so we planned to take Bennett to the Atlanta Children's Museum (again to celebrate his birthday). I know, I know....lots of celebrating going on, but since I was unable to throw him a real party with friends we wanted to do something special. The museum is amazing. He loved it. Every corner was filled with something exciting and engaging. I had a blast just watching him. Bennett played with the bulldozers, the work room, the grocery store, and even fished. Just the excitement in his face....most of my pictures turned out blurry because I was snapping shots at a moving target. By the end of the day, he was pooped as you can see in one of the pictures. Tomorrow is Bennett's official birthday, but I have to warn you, we'll probably continue the celebration for another day or so. Then we'll celebrate the birth of another special baby.

Decorating Cookies

Bennett and I spent the morning decorating Christmas cookies to deliver to the neighbors. I had to have two separate piles....Bennett's pile (ones that he either licked or bit into) and the pile that are to be delivered. It was such fun watching him go at it. I hope I never forget days like these.

Lazy Days

Bennett spent the entire day in his pajamas yesterday. We never do that, but it was one of those drizzly, lazy days and I couldn't blame him. CeCe gave him his birthday present early and he blew out his candles. He's getting lots of practice with this birthday biz. He was precious watching the muppets while rocking back and forth.

Bennett's Bday Lunch

Bennett's bday is Tuesday the 23rd....bless his heart...right before Christmas. We've been celebrating all month. Yesterday, CeCe took Bennett out for a special birthday lunch with just the two of them. They went to Chili's and had hot fudge sundaes. I can't wait to post some of her pics....they were precious. I snuck in a photo as they were headed out the door. Bennett blew me a kiss. He had a wonderful time eating quesadillas and ice cream. I can't believe my baby is turning 2!

Family of Four

Well, it's definitely more challenging when you add another baby to the mix. Trying to get all four faces looking in the same direction with pleasant expressions....nearly impossible. Fletcher and I were attending a Christmas party Friday night and decided to try and get a family photo for our Sunday School bulletin board. After about ten tries, I conceded that this was the best we were going to do. Bennett was adamant about getting down, Beau was miserable, and I was breaking out in a sweat.

Christmas Party at School

Today was the Christmas party at Bennett's school. He looked precious in his moose sweater from Grammy. I couldn't get a still shot of him, but managed to sneak a few pics. CeCe is here visiting, so Bennett is getting spoiled with attention and lots of little treats. He had his first chocolate covered pretzel tonight and as you can tell from the picture, it was a hit....immediately followed by bath time. :) Poor Beau....I've finally gotten a few pics of him as well. I now know for sure that the second child gets jipped. I'm vowing to do a better job of posting pictures of our newest addition.

Fletcher's Christmas Party

Last Saturday afternoon, we attended the Christmas party at Fletcher's work. Santa flew in on a helicopter which Bennett loved. He's still a little unsure about the big guy in red, but coming in on a helo definitely moved him up on the list. Bennett played on the bouncy house for what seemed like an eternity and then moved onto the bubble wrap taped to the floor. He had a blast and we enjoyed watching. So neat to get to experience the holidays through your children. What a blessing!

Where's Bennett?

We love to play "where's Bennett" in our house. He hides and we pretend to look for him and he loves it. Yesterday we were playing it and here's Bennett's latest hiding spot.
