Birthday Club Christmas Party

We have a wonderful group of girls from Sunday School in our birthday club. We meet monthly just to enjoy each other's company and celebrate our friendships. Friday night was our Christmas Party and we always bring our husbands along for this one. It was a full-on party this year complete with Bon Jovi and MC Hammer. Fletcher and I had a great time. Thanks to Amy and Mark for hosting at your beautiful home.

Christmas Party in Bennett's Class

Today was Bennett's last day of school before Christmas, so we had a party to celebrate Jesus' birthday. It was really sweet to see all the kids. Bennett was so excited when Beau and I walked in the door which always feels nice. And he was especially kind to his little brother which makes his momma feel good. They had great snacks and storytime. Beau enjoyed listening to the book with the big kids. I can't believe Christmas Eve is just one week away!

Bennett's Birthday Party

Bennett's actual birthday is December 23rd....I know, I know...he gets jipped in the birthday department. We had his birthday celebration today in an effort to let him enjoy his special day. He was so excited that Cousin Trey and Cousin Waller Beth were driving down from Nashville to come to his party. He and Trey are big buds! They got in Friday night in time for dinner and a movie. The party was at the local fire station and we're so grateful to the firemen for taking the time to teach the kids about the fire engines and the station. The kids had a blast! Bennett loved every second of it...I'm not sure he blinked the whole time. After our tour of the fire station, we headed over to Marietta Pizza Company for pizza and cake. The boys were so worn out that both were asleep before we made it home (Bennett with his sucker in his mouth). Thank you to all of our sweet friends who came to help us celebrate our sweet boy! Thanks CeCe for the rifle....he's been "duck hunting" all afternoon.

Beau's 1st Haircut

I've been putting it off as long as I could. Beau had these sweet little curls in the back and I knew if we cut them, that would be the end of his curls. But the time had come. His hair was getting long and stringy. This afternoon we went to our favorite place to get haircuts, Pigtails and Crewcuts, and Beau had his haircut for the 1st time. He did great! The sweet stylist saved his 1st curl for me. He sat still the whole time and pretended to drive his fire engine. Now he looks like a little boy!

Happy 1st Birthday Beau!

Today we celebrated Beau's 1st birthday (for real). I can't believe he's really one. The time flies by way too fast as far as I'm concerned. We had cake last weekend, so tonight we had pancakes for dinner. We're so blessed by this little boy. Happy birthday, baby!

We Saw Santa!

Tonight was the Christmas party at Fletcher's work and Santa flew in on a helicopter. Pretty awesome although the pictures didn't turn out. Bennett was so pumped to get to tell Santa what he really wants for Christmas. He couldn't wait to shake his hand. Beau on the other hand wasn't as thrilled to meet the jolly old guy. When we got home, Bennett ran straight to Jojo (our elf) to tell him about his night. So much fun!!!!

Beau's 1st Birthday!

We celebrated Beau's 1st birthday a week early while we were in Nashville, so he could enjoy his cake in front of friends and family. CeCe whipped up a homemade chocolate cake with fudge icing and Beau loved every bit of it. He had a blast playing with his cousins. Thanks to CeCe and Pops for hosting and to everyone for the wonderful bday presents.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving morning Fletcher and I started our day off by running the Gobble Jog 10K. We rushed home, loaded the car, grabbed the kids, and headed to Nashville to spend the rest of the day with CeCe and Pops. We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed watching the kids get to play with their cousins. In an effort to get the kids to calm down, we put on Snow White.....Bennett has yet to stop asking me about the "bad witch" and he thinks the 7 dwarfs are trolls.
