Keep Praying!

Mom will be so mad when she sees these pictures on the blog, but I had to post because I think she looks amazing. Just wanted to thank everyone for continuing to pray for Mom and our family. Our prayers are being answered. The chemo is working so far. We're not out of the woods yet, but we're grateful that Mom is doing so well. She went for her 4th treatment of chemo this past Tuesday and has 2 left before they do the T cell transplant. The weekend after chemo (which is this one coming up) is a really tough one for her, so please say a special prayer. The T cell transplant will require about a 3 week hospital stay. I know Mom isn't looking forward to that, but it will increase the chances of cancer not returning from 50% to 85%, so it's necessary. Thank you again for the prayers and encouraging words.

We're Home!

We spent the last month in Texas visiting family and friends. I don't know where to begin with all that we did. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful support group in Texas and loved getting spend some time there. The boys had a blast. They both played and played and when they were tired, they'd nap and play some more. Beau went from sitting up to crawling to pulling up, so he's officially on the move.

Visiting Grammy and Papa in God's Country

I haven't had a chance to download all of my pictures from our visit to Grammy and Papa's and these that I'm putting up on the blog right now don't begin to do our visit justice. We had a blast. Bennett and Beau rode 4-wheelers, rode their horse Belle, fed the cows and horses, swam in the pool, ate popsicles, found horny toads, picked up cats by the tail....the list goes on and on. Bennett got his first pair of real cowboy boots this trip and as you'll see in pictures to come, he loves them. If he told me once, he told me a hundred times, "Momma, I'm a cowboy!". Papa and Grammy spoiled the boys. Not sure how I'm going to live up to these last few weeks in Texas. Thanks for a wonderful visit to the Panhandle. I'll post more pics when I get them loaded.

Bennett, the Mailman

Bennett loves the mailman. At home we have to walk down our driveway when he drops our mail to say hello. Daily Bennett pretends to be the mailman getting our mail and hand delivering it to me a minimum 50 times. Pa is the local mailman, so Bennett was thrilled when he drove his mail truck home for lunch one day. And the next day he found Pa's mail uniform and let me know that he was "going to work". What a character! In the meantime, Beau is a huge fan of the water. I like his method to surviving the heat....he strips down and sits in the water. Life is good!

Playing w/ Cousin Lane

Yesterday, Mom had her 3rd chemo treatment, so we headed to Roxton to play with Cousin Lane. What a great day! I had the chance to catch up with my Aunt Carol, Aunt Golda, and Cousin Melissa, while Bennett and Beau played with Lane. The boys hunted monsters and bears while Beau sat and smiled at all the ladies. I hope Bennett is learning how to share from Lane....thank you Lane for sharing all of your toys with us.

We're in Texas, Y'all!

We've had a wonderful first week in Texas. We celebrated the 4th with food, family, and fun. Bennett and Beau got to play with cousins on the slip and slide and the pool. It's hot here!!! I've been tempted to put on a swim diaper and get in too, but I wouldn't want to scare the neighbors. Beau has had some milestones....he sat up all by himself the first day we were here and this morning he started crawling. Something about Texas sure got this kid a movin'!
