Beau's Baptism

Sunday we had Beau baptized and it was a wonderful day. Papa, Aunt Katie, Uncle Chuck along with Cousin Trey and Waller and CeCe and Pops came down for the big day. Beau did great! After church we went to Elevation at the airport and let the kids watch the planes take off and land while we had brunch. Such a special weekend.

Happy Birthday Papa!

Papa (my dad) flew into town to celebrate his birthday and Beau's baptism. It was a wonderful visit filled with playing catch, tennis, cooking out, and just hanging out. Bennett had Papa's undivided attention. Saturday night we had a low country boil and the kids sang happy birthday to him. Thanks for spending your day with us, Papa!!!

Happy Birthday Sawyer!

We've had a busy last couple of weeks. Fletcher was home all of 1 night this past week and 2 the week before. SO needless to say, we jumped at the chance to go to a friend's birthday party and let Bennett burn off some energy. Here are a few pictures of Bennett and Beau at Sawyer's third birthday party. It was gorgeous weather and we had a great time. Sweet Beau slept through it.

He Rolls!!!

First of all, Beau rolled from his back to his stomach today. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't witnessed it myself, but he did it! He rolled from stomach to back about 6 weeks ago (which freaked me out a little). I put him down on his stomach for a nap and when I went back in, he had flipped and his head was at the other end of the crib. How in the heck does that happen? But today on the playmat, I watched the little roly poly work it out. The picture doesn't prove anything, but it's the "after" shot. He was stuck on his side for a minute or two...Bennett and I were cheering him on and he finally whipped that arm around and made it. Great job, Beau!

The Easter Bunny was gracious enough to get the boys Pinochio, so we watched it this afternoon. I have to say, it was a hit with both. I snapped pics of the boys watching the movie together (I'll use it as proof one day when their fighting that they really do like each other).

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! It was a beautiful day in Marietta. Bennett and Beau enjoyed checking out the goodies the Easter Bunny left for them. We attended the 9:00 service where Dr. Matthews delivered an awesome message. After church, we headed down to Buckhead to have lunch with friends and another egg hunt. By the time we arrived back home, we were all worn out. Beau slept 11 hours last night! What a day to sit back and count our blessings!

Let's Hunt Some Eggs!

We had two egg hunts today. The first one was at church and it was a little chilly. That didn't seem to slow the kids down. Bennett had a great time. He found one of the special cross eggs and had a chance to visit with the Easter Bunny twice. We've become pretty fond of the Easter Bunny which a huge improvement over last year. Sweet Beau was along for the ride. The second hunt was this afternoon. Bennett got to decorate cookies with his pal, Ali before hunting the eggs. After tomorrow....no more chocolate! This kid is going to be on a sugar rush for the next month!!! Happy Easter everyone!

Moving on to Cereal

Beau has moved up to rice cereal and today was the day he got his first taste. Actually went better than expected. He's so mellow....seems like he takes everything in stride. Had to post some pics of that sweet little face.

Sundown Easter Egg Hunt

Heading to the Egg Hunt

Searching for Eggs

Candy Time

Beau hanging w/ Jack Henry

Our neighbors have a yearly tradition of hosting an Easter egg hunt after the sun goes down. The kids have a blast. Bennett attended last year, but he was still trying to figure this whole egg hunting thing out. At last years egg hunt at church, Bennett got an empty gatorade bottle, 2 cigarette butts, and 1 egg....so we've been training this year getting prepared. :) He loved it. It was great to watch all the kids running around with their flashlights hunting. Thanks to Nancy and Louis for hosting. Can't wait 'til Beau can do it too.

Amicalola Falls

Today was our first Saturday with gorgeous weather in a while, so we decided to head up to the North Georgia mountains to see the Amicalola Falls....the highest waterfall this side of the Rockies. It was beautiful, and quite the workout. The boys enjoyed it. We went with some new friends of ours from the squadron and their little girl. We picnicked at the bottom to refuel for the hike back up. Bennett celebrated being home with a homemade popsicle thanks to the kit Grammy sent for Easter.

Beau's 4 Month Checkup

Today we had Beau's 4 month checkup at the doctor's office. Can't believe he's almost 4 months old. He weighed in at 16 lbs. and 25.5 inches tall. Bennett went to parent's day out at our church, so he could play with friends. I snapped a picture of him walking into school since he dressed himself today. Casual Friday.....And poor Beau got his second round of shots today hence the two bandaids on his legs.

Sweet Beau

My precious Beau is growing so fast. We go for his 4 month checkup tomorrow and we can't wait to see what he weighs in at. His sweet personality melts my heart. Had to post a little video of his little smile and giggle.

Going on a Bear Hunt

Bennett's class does the old "we're going on a bear hunt" at school and he's been doing it quite a bit at home. It cracks me up to watch him get into it. The funniest part of the video is towards the end Fletcher starts doing it too. When Fletcher says he sees a bear he scares both Beau and Bennett. Bennett didn't want to play anymore.

Soccer Anyone?

This kid can kick and we're definitely right footed. Bennett just got a new soccer ball when Nina was in town (even though in the video he's kicking his blowup basketball). It's been raining cats and dogs here, so we've made our garage our "outside" playroom for now.

No Nap...

Here's some video of yesterday afternoon just before dinner. It's Bennett after having no nap. Some people think no nap equals an early night, but in our house it just means we stop making sense. :) Anyone care to translate??
