Happy Birthday CeCe

I've been so bad lately about taking and posting pictures. January 15th was CeCe's birthday and she came down from Nashville to celebrate with us. She brought along some crab legs for us to enjoy. Bennett had a blast playing Captain Hook with his. This is the only picture I got of the whole weekend, so there is no evidence of the two movies I saw, the manicure/pedicure, shopping, etc. Thank you CeCe for a great weekend!

Snowed In

We've been snowed in all weekend. We survived not being able to get the car back up the driveway, Beau having the stomach bug, and Fletcher being at work and school. The boys have gotten creative with their toys. Just wanted to share the latest and greatest.

Christmas w/ Nina and Pa

We spent Dec. 28th-Jan 1st in Bonham visiting Nina & Pa, Aunt Jade, and all of our other aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was such a nice, relaxing time to spend with everyone. The boys opened more gifts (spoiled) and we ate and ate and ate! We headed to Roxton for an afternoon to see Cousin Lane and the crew. Bennett and Beau loved getting to play with him. Cousin Lily spent the night with us and she and Bennett were pumped about getting to go to the movies to see the Princess and the Frog. My cousins Andy and Jenny spent New Year's Eve with us along with their two boys Jackson and Wilder. Fletcher and I even got to sneak off for a night to have dinner with some of my college friends. I'm so lucky to have such dear friends that will drop everything and squeeze in a dinner when I come to town. Means a lot! And thanks Nina and Pa for keeping the boys while Fletcher and I went out.

Christmas w/ Grammy and Papa

We flew into Dallas on the 26th to meet Grammy and Papa for a few days. They made the long drive in from the panhandle to hang with us. We spent our morning at Northpark Mall checking out the amazing train exhibit....really amazing. Bennett loved his little conductor hat and Beau (bless his heart) is just along for the ride. He really just goes with the flow. After lunch at the Black-Eyed Pea and naps in the car, we headed to Grapevine to check out the Gaylord Texan. It was gorgeous. Fletcher and I both were amazed. Bennett wanted so badly to eat off the lifesize gingerbread house....note, the reciped said it took 350,000 M&Ms. Whoa! After doing a walk-thru, we got to see the ice exhibit of Whoville. Pretty awesome and pretty darn cold. We were grateful for the parkas! Thank you Grammy and Papa for driving in to see us.

Christmas in Nashville

We spent Christmas night in Nashville with CeCe and Pops and dined on Pops famous duck and oyster gumbo. The kids couldn't wait to open their gifts (and everyone else's) under the tree. Beau had more fun standing on his gifts than opening them. Bennett and Trey played until their little engines ran out and Waller Beth was right in the mix.

Santa Came!!

Christmas morning was more thrilling for Fletcher and I than for the kids I think. Bennett ran down the stairs so excited to see that Santa had left him just what he asked for....a truck with a trailer. (the jury was still out the day before as to whether Santa would be leaving him anything) Beau loved his red chair just like his big brother's and Santa even left Fletcher a little something.

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Christmas Eve, we celebrated with our dear friends, Britt and Scott Hennessey and their sweet children, Claire and Will. We enjoyed breakfast for dinner and had a birthday party for Jesus. The kids loved blowing out the candles, eating cake, and reading Twas the Night Before Christmas. The adults enjoyed champagne and great company. We felt so blessed to be spending Christmas Eve with such special friends.
