Fletcher's Last Flight out of Dobbins

Today was Fletcher's last flight out of Dobbins, so we went up to watch him fly in. We invited the Hennessey's to come along with us. It was a beautiful day for a helicopter ride and we enjoyed getting to watch him come in. The crew drenched Fletcher and Lt. Col. Ozmer as they were posing for pics. We're so proud of our U.S. Marine!!!

Congratulations Fletcher!

We're so proud of Fletcher for finishing the MBA program. He's officially done and will graduate in a couple of weeks. This weekend he had his final presentation with his international team (and they got an A!!). Tonight we hosted some of his team members and their families over along with some of the Romanians for a low country boil. It was a lot of fun. The kids played while the adults enjoyed celebrating. Here is a picture of Fletcher with his international team (the 3 guys on the right are visiting from Romania). And they wanted a picture with the hosts. Again, so so proud of all the hardwork Fletcher has put in this last year and a half. He's worked his tail off!!!

Spaghetti Night

My friend, Callie, calls it "naked spaghetti night" at her house because they just strip their little one down before he dives into his dinner. We do that with Beau now that he's sitting at the big boy table, but the boys do love spaghetti. And we love watching them eat it and chat like two old men.

Always in Character

Bennett is always somebody. And by that I mean he's the mailman, the UPS man, a soldier, a fireman, a policeman, sometimes he's even a "soldier mailman". We just never know, but we go with it. He is constantly changing costumes and when I say constantly I'm talking like 15 times a day. This afternoon he was a "soldier policeman" with a cowboy belt on, a backpack, his fireman rain boots, sunglasses, and the sunblocker from our car as his gun. He wanted me to take his picture, so he could see how cool he looked. He even saluted for me. He hasn't quite mastered the sunglasses on right-side up yet, but we'll continue to work on that. Bless his heart! He keeps us on our toes.

My Baby Beau

This morning we dropped Bennett off to school, mailed our taxes (whew!), and came home to play. Beau is such a trooper most days...he just goes with the flow, so it's extra special when I get some time with just him. I had my camera out this morning trying to capture of few of those moments. Beau got his very own lawnmower this week....not a hand-me-down, but his very own, brand-new mower. It's the best $18 spent. He has mowed and mowed. It's the first toy he plays with and the last one he puts down. Of course, we had to buy another one for my sanity, so I wouldn't have to referee all afternoon with big brother. Just wanted to share a few pictures of our sweet Beau. He's growing so fast.

Beau Jibbering

Beau has gotten so chatty lately. We can't wait until we can understand what he's telling us.

Bennett Singing

Bennett thinks he's a rockstar....really! We loaded our videos today and I found this one. Just wanted to share.

Lunch at the Park

We packed up a lunch and headed over to base to have lunch with Fletcher today. There is a great park there complete with a playground and geese to feed, so the boys love it. Beau was mesmorized with the geese while Bennett fed them leftover pancakes from breakfast.

Spring Break Rocks!

We're having a great spring break so far enjoying every second of this pre-summer weather. It's been beautiful!! The boys are practically living outside.....one even forgot to come in for a potty break. :) It happens, right?! This morning Bennett and Beau started off their day in the toy box (literally). We worked up an appetite, took naps, and then headed over to the neighbors to share our ice cream cones with them (thanks CeCe for the cones and sprinkles). Beau has taken after his brother when it comes to accessorizing...can't seem to leave home without one on. Please don't let me forget how wonderful these moments are.

Egg Hunting Round 2

Yesterday afternoon we had our second egg hunt of the day and by now, we were getting good at it. Beau nabbed a few eggs of his own this time. The kids have had a wonderful weekend full of chocolate bunnies and time with friends. Mom and Dad are exhausted from chasing them around trying to catch every cute thing they do on camera (that's me) and just chasing them around trying not to lose one of them (that's Fletcher). It's been a wonderful weekend. Bennett told me this morning when I asked him why we celebrate Easter...."because Jesus saved us from our sins"...and "Happy Easter to you, Mommy"...makes every tired bone in my body worth it.

Happy Easter 2010

Saturday morning we attended the Easter egg hunt at church where Bennett followed his sweet friend, Ali, around (and swiped a few of her eggs when she wasn't looking). The kids had a blast and enjoyed getting to hang with the bunny himself. Beau is a little reluctant, but Bennett is all about him. I think there were several pictures of other families taken with the Easter Bunny yesterday that have Bennett because he didn't want to get too far away from the "gift-giving bunny".

Spring is in the Air

It's been a busy week. We had the Easter party today for Bennett's class complete with an egg hunt and all. This afternoon we headed outside to enjoy this beautiful weather and sweet Beau took a spill. Fletcher was pulling up and Beau took off running out of excitement and....well, you can see for yourself....face first on the street. He made a quick recovery. Beau has decided he likes to eat dinner with his big brother, so we've moved our little table inside. Can't believe these boys are getting so big!
