We found the hat yesterday afternoon as I was going through some boxes in the garage.....and it's been on his head ever since. I think it's safe to say Bennett gets his fashion sense from his daddy. :)

The Brough's Visit from England
Fletcher's cousins, Peter, Lindsay and Megan flew into Nashville from England last week to visit Bampa. After spending a week in Nashville, they came to Atlanta to spend the weekend with us. We were excited about getting to show them around Marietta and Bennett couldn't wait to see Ms. Megan again. They arrived Friday evening after spending a few extra hours in traffic. Who knew Dick Cheney was going to the Chickamauga Battlefield that day?! When they finally made it here Friday night we had burgers and let the kiddos run in circles. Saturday we took them to see the helicopters Fletcher flies, had a picnic in the park, enjoyed pizza and ice cream on the square, and finished the night with a friendly game of poker after the kids were asleep. Sunday we visited Olympic park and let Megan and Bennett play in the fountain. The kids were soaked, but happy! Well worth the extra change of clothes. Poor Megan didn't have an extra set, so she was "rudy" aka naked for the ride home....I love their lingo! It was a great visit and we're looking forward to seeing them again soon!

Bennett's 1st Vols Game
Pops had skybox tickets to the football game this weekend that were going unused, so we took Bennett to his first Tennessee Vols game. We made the 3 hour drive up to Knoxville early Saturday morning arriving in time to watch the players run through the big T. Bennett loved the band, the cheering fans, and the free ice cream. After countless cookies, a hot dog, a box of popcorn, a couple trips to the ice cream freezer, and a few wrestling matches with our friend, Brad's little boy, John, Bennett was pooped. He was asleep before we left the parking lot. Thanks Pops for the tickets!

CeCe and Pops Visit
This weekend CeCe and Pops came down from Nashville to visit. Fletcher and I had a sunday school social on Friday night, so they took Bennett out to dinner and had a great time. Saturday the three of them took a trip down the toy aisle in Target and came home with some trains.....much to Bennett's delight! He is in heaven! He's been playing with those trains ever since. Saturday night we went by the McCullum Airport to watch the planes take off before heading up to Acworth to our favorite Cajun restaurant, Henry's. After dinner we stopped by the Taste of Kennesaw to check out the festivities. Thanks for a great visit CeCe and Pops!

Trains, Trains, and More Trains
We're obsessed! The first thing Bennett says to me in the morning is "choo choo" which means that he wants to watch Thomas the Train. Last night when I was putting him down with his eyes closed, he rolled over and said "choo choo" in his sleep. I guess he's dreaming about those trains going up and down the tracks. Yesterday, Fletcher was off work, so we took Bennett to the Locomotive Museum to check out all the cool trains. He loved it! I really didn't know how we'd get him out of there, but finally convinced him with a little bribing....never leave home without a purse full of suckers. :)
Pancakes Anyone?
I make blueberry pancakes on the weekends for Fletcher and Bennett and both seem to enjoy them. Bennett especially! Saturday mornings are a special time when Bennett gets to have breakfast with Daddy and even watch Thomas the Train. I had to take a few pics of his blueberry covered face.
