Nina Heads Home
We were sad to see her go, but so grateful that Nina could spend the week with us. We had a blast...Mom and I are huge DWTS fans along with Idol, so once the boys were down at night we loved putting in our two cents on the contestants. It was so nice to have some time to just hang out with her. Come back and see us soon, Nina!

Monkey Joe's
We've had rain here the past three days....tomorrow will make four! SO Bennett has been lucky enough to go to Monkey Joe's twice this week. Mom has been here hanging with us and she loves to spoil the kiddos, so when we saw rain in the forecast for the rest of the week, we got our game plan together. Tuesday we enjoyed an afternoon outside (thank goodness we did because it would be the last of the sunshine for a while). Wednesday morning in rolled the storms and we headed to the bounce place. Bennett played for 2 hours and crashed in the car. Plan executed perfectly!!! :) He has school on Thursday morning and Mom played soccer with him in the garage all afternoon. Today was a downpour, so after gymnastics, we headed back to Monkey Joe's where Bennett would experience his first slurpee. It was a huge hit. And Beau.....bless his heart....getting dragged around in the rain. He napped through most of it....such a little snuggler! Mom leaves tomorrow and I hate to see her go. We've had such a good time, although before kids she and I would have been napping through this weather. Come back soon Nina!

Lunch w/ Daddy
At least once a week we try and have lunch with Fletcher. There is a great park on base where Bennett can play and watch the planes take off. Today he got to feed the Canadian Geese....poor geese....he chased them around for about an hour. He looked like a little leprechaun out there in his green hat. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed getting to play outside.
Happy St. Patrick's Day
Today we hosted the St. Patty's Day party for Bennett's class. It's comic relief watching nine 2 year olds interact....comic relief because it's not my job every day. Ms. Kris and Ms. Carolyn deserve many, MANY jewels in their crowns in heaven because it takes a special person to do what they do. Beau went along for his first classroom party and he was a huge hit. The little girls couldn't get enough of the "live" baby. Bennett got protective at one point kicking Micah when he got a little too close. He said "back it up....my Beau!". Really! "Back it up" is one of our new phrases....he tells me to back it up when I want to change his diaper, etc.

Dinner w/ the Patricks
Saturday night the Patricks came over to join us for dinner. The kids played and the adults enjoyed talking over them. Bennett was so excited to show Ali his new fire engine. She took to it right away....Beau and Rhodes both just hung out and napped here and there. So nice having friends with kids the same age. They're use to the noise level. Bennett was so worn out from all the playing, he put himself to bed. Can't wait to do it again.

Our Little Fireman
So I went to the consignment sale today at our church and struck oil!!! They had a fire engine. Bennett is convinced he's a fireman, so how suiting that he needs a fire engine. AND the jacket to match. He's in heaven....he played on that thing seriously for at least an hour. I must admit there's one downer....it has a siren. I'll be hearing that siren in my sleep. BUT he's thrilled with his pseudo-new wheels.
Spring!
Now I'm sure we'll have one more cold spell (at least), but our dogwoods are blooming. It's beautiful here, so I had to post a picture of our neighborhood. I love the trees this time of year.
Family Days
Last weekend, Fletcher had to work, so when he got home on Sunday we were glad to see him. We took the boys up to the square so Bennett could play on the train. He loved passing out tickets to everyone and shouting "all aboard". And little Beau is cool as a cucumber. Bless his heart, he just rolls with it. We're so blessed. Fletcher had Monday off, so we took advantage of the beautiful weather and got out and about. Needless to say, the boys are big on antiqueing (hence snoozing in the stroller).

Gymnastics Again
We're making huge strides in the "listening and following instructions" department at gymnastics. We had a makeup gym class this morning and Bennett did great. We're really into roll playing these days, so the whole ride to class, he was telling me that he was Coach Sam. Sometimes we change over into the UPS man, the mailman, a shark, puppy dog....you get the picture. By the time we arrived Bennett was being himself again and ready to go. He can do the obstacle course almost completely by himself. He walks the balance beam and, of course, loves the foam pit. Today he got two stamps at the end of class for doing such a great job.

It's Raining! It's Snowing!
Well, it was 60 degrees earlier this week and today it's snowing...sounds like Texas weather. It's beening snowing all afternoon. Bennett was so excited to get out and play, so I bundled him up and out the door he went. He loved it. I bribed him to come back in for some hot chocolate. That did the trick and then he crashed in the couch. I love this weather as long as I can curl up on the couch and watch from the window.
Happy Birthday Fletcher!
Thursday, February 26th, was Fletcher's birthday. Bless his heart, he's been in school and so busy both at work and at home with the fam, BUT we finally got to go out and celebrate last night. We had dinner at Bones with some dear friends. It was a great night out and I hope Fletcher got to relax and have a good time. Cheers to a wonderful husband and amazing daddy. Happy Birthday, Fletcher!
