Celebrating w/ Friends

Bennett will turn 2 on December 23rd. Due to its closeness to Christmas, we decided to throw him an early birthday party at school with his classmates. We had it this past Thursday and Bennett had a wonderful time. He blew out his candles like a pro and wore his birthday crown from the teachers. I made a train cake (thanks to the new cake pan from Grammy). You can't tell what they are in the pics, but it turned out really cute. I can't believe he's about to be two. Ms. Callie and Mr. Matt surprised Bennett with his bday present and his early Christmas present. We're so blessed to have wonderful family and friends.

Beau Mason Tidwell

Thursday, December 4th, Beau Mason joined our family. We are thrilled to be home and adjusting to life as a family of four. Big brother, Bennett, is doing great. He's such a good little helper and we're excited about celebrating the holidays with our boys. Beau weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 21 inches long. He looks like his big bro. I'll try and post more pics later, but as for now, we're catching up on sleep and trying to squeeze in a shower here and there. I know many of you can relate. :)

Celebrating Early

With Bennett turning 2 on December 23rd, we think it only fair that he get to celebrate all month long. We'll re-evaluate after Baby #2 arrives. He received his first bday gift in the mail from our dear friends, The Thompson's. They're so thoughtful and generous and the Thomas the Train DVD set couldn't be more perfect for our little train lover. And Madagascar has become a new favorite! Thank you Monica, Brian, and William for the wonderful gift.

Deck the Halls

We've been busy today decorating the house for Christmas. Mom and I bought our wreaths and found a sweet little train to go around the tree. The idea was that it might keep Bennett away for the ornaments and more consumed with the "choo-choo" as he calls it. So far, so good. Fletcher and Bennett had a great time tonight watching the smoke come out of the engine and letting it go around and around. Love my boys!

Happy Thanksgiving 2008

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We had a wonderful day enjoying the beautiful weather and counting our blessings. Although we were few in number this year, we celebrated with a feast. We stayed home (close to the hospital) this year and Fletcher smoked his first turkey. Mom and I did the sides and Bennett did the playing. This morning he couldn't wait to get outside and help Daddy get the smoker ready. All bundled up, Bennett played and played....he did slow down long enough to sip on Fletcher's coffee. He looked like a little old man carrying that coffee cup. We are so blessed by our family and friends and hope everyone had a great day. Happy Thanksgiving!

Picking up Nina

We picked up Nina at the airport on Tuesday and couldn't wait to see her. We were stopped at a red light when I noticed Bennett's sunglasses. Had to take a moment to take a picture.
