Playing on the Choo Choo Train

Bennett wanted to show CeCe and Pops the Marietta Choo Choo train. We're blessed to live in great community and our local town square is evident of that. It is filled with wonderful restaurants, darling shops, and a great little play area for the kiddos. CeCe and Pops treated us to lunch at Willie Ray's and then we worked off our food playing on the Choo Choo train. Bennett loved the slide....I think he only went down it a few hundred times. He rang the bell and then he took a walk with Daddy and CeCe. He's so close to taking off on his own.

Thank you for the delicious lunch and great company!

CeCe and Pops Come to Marietta

It's been such a busy last month or so that we haven't gotten in a good visit with CeCe and Pops. They made a quick trip down to Marietta to see Bennett. He was so excited (again this child gets absolutely no attention). Sunday night we had a chili and cornbread dinner and our evening festivities were centered around Bennett's bath. That's such a highlight in our house. We LOVE bathtime....the bathroom gets flooded as do I, but he's happy, so who cares about the rest, right? CeCe and Pops actually did bathtime and gave me a break. I did step in to witness Bennett's new hairdo. Photo opt. After bathtime was over, Bennett had to show CeCe all of his favorite things in his nursery.....his pony, his duck decoy (not sure why that's in there), his helicopter, etc. That list gets longer and longer when he's delaying bedtime. How quickly they learn. :) After a bedtime story, he went right to sleep to rest up for another big day of playing.

Our favorite Aunt and Uncle!!!

We had a wonderful weekend! Bennett's favorite great Aunt Annette and Uncle Seth came by for an afternoon visit. They traveled all the way from Charlotte and we were so excited that they had time to have lunch with us. We caught up on "who's doing what and where" and got in some laughs. Bennett was a complete show off pulling out all of his tricks. We're so blessed to have such a loving family.
Thank you Aunt Annette and Uncle Seth. It's our turn to travel next visit.

More Snow

It's been snowing here all day. It's beautiful! Bennett is mesmerized by the falling snowflakes. Luckily, we don't have anywhere we have to be, so we'll be hanging out inside enjoying a hot bowl of chili and watching football. My poor plants....

Look What We Found

CeCe had gotten the little guy this hat on a trip to New Mexico. Bennett, as he was taking everything off the changing table shelves again, found it. He came crawling around the corner with it on. He's actually been wearing it all afternoon. I can never get him to keep a hat on his head until today. I snuck a few pics during his afternoon snack.

It Snowed!

Last night it started snowing. It was beautiful and still on the ground this morning. Not much left by the time we were up and dressed, but I had to get a picture of what was left.

Such a Toothy Grin

With his 4 front teeth all grown in, Bennett has such a "toothy" grin. I love it! I had to snap a picture this afternoon. We're under a severe weather watch here in Atlanta, so aside from music class this morning, we're hybernating. Trying to keep ourselves occupied has lead to Bennett unrolling the toilet paper in the bathroom (I knew it was too quiet), emptying everything off the bottom 2 shelves of the changing table several times (a daily occurrence) and getting stuck wedged between the end table and couch in the den. Might sound like Mommy isn't doing a good job of supervising, but I seriously just turned my back for a second. :) I'll spare you the pics of the above events. Hope everyone is staying warm!

Bennett's Favorite Spot

If I'm ever curious where to find the little guy, it never fails.....he's looking out the bay window in the dining room. Bennett is like that nosy old lady in the neighborhood that knows what everyone is up to. If he could only talk, I'm sure he'd tell you what time the teenager next door gets home from school. He could tell you when the mail man comes each afternoon, who left that empty water bottle at the end of our driveway, and so much more. He loves looking out that window. I couldn't help but sneak a few pics yesterday after church.

All About Our John Deere Gear

Bennett stocked up on his John Deere gear over Christmas from our family in Roxton. He's loving his tractors and I love that I can spot him in a crowd in this cute little outfit.

Thank you to the Roxton crew for our new tractor toys.

Happy 2nd Birthday Trey!

This past weekend we headed up to Nashville to visit with CeCe and Pops and help Cousin Trey celebrate his 2nd birthday. We unpacked our things from our Texas trip and in the same motion, re-packed. Guess Bennett was helping me and decided to make it easier and just get in the suitcase. There were lots of little ones running around at the party on Saturday and it was fun to see the kiddos play together. We got to see a puppet show "Trey and the Beanstalk" and have Nemo cake. Bennett, although not walking yet, was right on the heels of all those two year olds. Won't be long little buddy! :) Trey got fun new toys and seemed to enjoy his special day. He topped it off with not one, but two pieces of cake (one for each year!).

Happy Birthday, Cousin Trey!
